Digital Media Server

Digital Media Servers (DMS) store content and make it available to network digital media players (DMP) and mobile digital media players (M-DMP), digital media renderers (DMR) and digital media printers (DMPr). Some examples of digital media servers include PCs and network attached storage (NAS).

DLNA Device Classes
A Device Class specifies the functional capabilities of a device regardless of its physical attributes. In fact, a single physical device can, and frequently does, incorporate multiple device classes. A certified product must comply with all the requirements of its Device Class.
