Vision of an Interoperable Network
Members of the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) share a vision of a
wired and wireless interoperable network of Personal Computers (PC),
Consumer Electronics (CE) and mobile devices in the home enabling a seamless
environment for sharing and growing new digital media and content
services.
DLNA Organization Charter
DLNA is focused on delivering an interoperability framework of design
guidelines based on open industry standards to complete the cross-industry
digital convergence.
White Papers
Overview and Vision
White Paper 2007 (.pdf, 447k)
The digital home consists of a network of CE, mobile and PC devices that
cooperate transparently, delivering an interoperability that enhances and
enriches user experiences. This paper gives an overview of the DLNA
interoperability guidelines published October 2006.
Overview and Vision
White Paper 2004 (.pdf, 865k)
Members of Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) share a vision of
interoperable networked devices in the home that provide new value
propositions and opportunities for consumers and product vendors. This paper
gives an overview of the interoperability framework offered by DLNA.
Use Case Scenarios
White Paper (.pdf, 1.15Mb)
To support the creation of the design guidelines, DLNA has developed some
overall guidelines based on a comprehensive set of use cases and scenarios.
This white paper summarizes some of the use cases being modeled to drive the
development of guidelines and gives an overview of how DLNA generated its
Interoperability Guidelines version 1.0.
DLNA in the
Car – Application of DLNA Guidelines to Automotive Use Cases and
Considerations for Future Guidelines (.pdf)
This is a brief overview of the DLNA Automotive Task Force report titled
"DLNA in the Car." It describes DLNA and its relevance to the car,
lists use cases covered in the report, provides an example use case and
related architecture, and indicates options for future work of the
Automotive Task Force.
