Charter
The Guideline Expansion Subcommittee of the Technical Committee will expand the DLNA Design Guidelines. The expanded Design Guidelines will build on the existing design guidelines by adding features and functions to improve the user's experience of accessing A/V content in the DLNA environment.
Scope
The Guideline Expansion Subcommittee will:
- Identify technical requirements based on use cases and usage scenario
input from the Use Case Subcommittee
- identify the technologies, standards and specifications that satisfy
the requirements

Produce technical design guidelines that will enable interoperability of
devices in the following functional areas:
- Additional physical links
- Networking and Connectivity
- Device Discovery
- Media Management
- Content Transport
- Media Format Interoperability Model
- Authentication and Authorization
- Content Protection
