Guidelines Maintenance Subcommittee


Charter

The Subcommittee is responsible for ongoing maintenance of approved DLNA design guidelines. The subcommittee will address and resolve any interoperability issues that are a result of implementing to the approved guidelines. Interoperability issues are submitted to the subcommittee from with-in the Technical Committee or from other DLNA committees including the Board of Directors. For interoperability issues requiring participation of other working groups, this subcommittee will coordinate and establish a process of cross-collaboration.

Scope

It is expected that interoperability issues will arise from the approved DLNA guidelines. The subcommittee is responsible for the resolution of the interoperability issues. Interoperability issues identified are:

  • Errata: correcting errors in a guideline
  • Ambiguities: clarification of a guideline if it can be interpreted in more than one way

The subcommittee cannot add features to the guidelines.
