Broadband is the new speed of choice. Meanwhile, new digital entertainment and mobile devices are introduced every day. Enabling these products to seamlessly interact is good for consumers. And for the industry.
The DLNA VisionAt DLNA, we share a vision of a wired and wireless interoperable network made up of consumer electronics, PCs and mobile devices in the home and on the road. We want to enable a new, more compatible digital environment in which digital media can be easily accessed and enjoyed, regardless of who made the devices. In the near future, digital homes will contain one or more intelligent platforms, such as an advanced set-top box or network attached storage (NAS) server device. These intelligent platforms will manage and distribute digital content to rendering devices such as TVs and wireless monitors from devices like digital cameras, camcorders and multimedia mobile phones. The consumer experience will be further enhanced because many mobile multimedia devices can also manage and distribute content to other devices. It is a vision shared by a growing membership of 245 companies, including leaders from the consumer electronics, computing, mobile device and content service provider industries.
